Play Dough

Play dough is such a great tool to strengthen little fingers and get us ready to write! This is our pumpkin play dough which smells great! We like to use play scissors, hammers, and even Potato Head parts with our play dough for extra fun!

Costumes!

Dressing up at preschool is so much fun!!

Spring Flowers

This activity was adapted from something we found on Pinterest but I can't find the original source! We bought these cute (plastic) vases and the flowers from the Dollar Tree. To play, two friends take turns rolling the color dice and adding that color flower to a vase. The result is a beautiful Spring bouquet!

Heroes

This week we studied the letter H and learned all about HEROES! Heroes aren't just found in comic books- everyone can be a hero by helping others and being a good friend! We got to make hero masks to remind us to always be a heroic friend!

Outside Play

We are totally spoiled in Arizona because we can play outside all year round without having to worry about a slide covered in snow!

Letter Wreaths

Around the holidays we like to do themed reviews of the letters we've learned. This was one activity that helped us to practice recognizing letters. Each child got one large green wreath with letters written all around, and one sheet of shiny Christmas stickers with matching letter written on each. Students matched the stickers to the letters on their wreath to make a beautiful Christmas decoration.

Christmas Dough

Look how cute this activity is! Miss Heidi made peppermint scented dough! Each child got to squish a tree shape and then decorate it with mini ornaments. So cute! And a great way to practice our fine motor skills. The peppermint smell gives an added sensory element. We love preschool!

Presents!

Ever get stumped on what to get your class for Christmas? I always want to pick something that will provide some fun during the holiday break. This year I chose these cute painting pads from Oriental Trading- just add water and the paint is right there on the page! I also included a travel pack of cotton swabs to use as tiny brushes.

And for the dedicated mommies who help us so much- a redbox movie night :)

Merry Christmas!!
